Lethbridge Shelter

The Lethbridge Shelter provides a safe and caring space to meet the unique needs of individuals experiencing homelessness. Our relational model works to meet clients where they are at to provide access to basic needs including food, hygiene items and services, beds, and physical and mental supports. We are available 24/7 to address client’s presenting issues while supporting them to improve their circumstances. The Shelter is located at 802 2A Ave N Lethbridge, Alberta T1H 6N6.


Shelter Services

Shelter Objectives

  • A safe and caring environment to reduce harm and vulnerability due to homelessness and/or substance use for those who would otherwise sleep outside, in holding cells, or in hospitals
  • Immediate withdrawal management and monitoring for complications due to alcohol and substance use
  • Medical and mental health interventions along the recovery continuum¬†
  • Residential services (e.g. showers, beds, food program)
  • Access to stabilization and housing program assessments

 

  • Provide a multi-pronged response to homelessness
  • Improve health outcomes for clients presenting with addictions, mental health/physical health challenges
  • Support a continuum of care to meet individuals where they are at and provide necessary services
  • Reduce pressures on the health system to respond to intoxicated individuals
  • Enhance movement towards stabilization by facilitating referrals into treatment, housing and supports
